(Rumbo Socialista of Uruguay) were present
at meeting held in Argentina with the objective
of exchanging experiences And deepening
international links around the discussion
of proposing to explore and take steps towards
the possibility of favoring an orientation
to advance in the opening of a space for
the international regroupment of the socialist
left ad revolutionary fighters in the heat
of the revolutionary processes currently
taking place, as well as the initiatives
being impelled with this intention in some
countries and even as a characteristic of
the international situation.
In this sense, some concrete actions aimed at generating conditions favorable to this objective were agreed upon:
1.
To edit an international magazine to stimulate the exchange and debate of elaborations about various political and international action and orientation issues by adherents committed to the international revolutionary regroupment and observers and collaborators (organizations and individuals). The publication with initially be called “America Magazine: For an International Regroupment.” The first edition should appear in a period of two months.
2.
To launch a web site of information, exchange of ideas, political debate, coordination of actions, and linking of those organizations interested in this search, with the broadest possible characteristics and open to all those who share this will. This web page will incorporate material and collaborations from varied origins.
3.
To promote the mutual exploration between the organizations, leaders and bases, through visits and exchanges between interested organizations and collectives in the different countries.
4.
To initiate common international initiatives around key points of the international class struggle, with the possibility of giving them a continuity of agreement with the development of the international situation and the social, political and popular processes in each country. Initially, it is proposed to move initiatives forward around:
-
The fight against the imperialist aggression against the people of Palestine, Lebannon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, and the threats against Iran, promoting concrete solidarity.
-
The defense of the National Union of Workers (UNT), supporting its Classist Unitary Revolutionary and Autonomous Current (C-CURA), led by Orlando Chirino, from the bureaucratic attacks, supporting its political initiatives, such as the Campaña Por Todas Nuestras Luchas, with the community media (ANMCLA), the peasants (FNCEZ) and the popular movements, as well as in the framework of the presidential elections.
-
Supporting and helping to internationally impel the candidature of the anti-capitalist left, represented by Heloisa Helena of the Partido Socialismo y Libertad (PSOL) of Brazil, as an alternative in face of the PT and Lula abandoning their commitments to the Brazilian workers and people.
-
The support of the Bolivian social and indigenous organizations and workers in their struggle for the recuperation of privatized water and for the complete nationalization of hydrocarbons. To extensively support all struggle with these objectives across Latin America.
-
To support the struggle of immigrants in the United States for “Unconditional Amnesty for All Undocumented Immigrants.”
-
To support the Movimiento Intersindical Clasista (MIC) in Argentina.
5.
Over the foundations and throughout the process of developing these experiences, to organize an International Seminary to continue sharing, debating and elaborating on the international situation, the processes of struggle in the different countries and the problems and proposals of the each of the involved factors. It is proposed to be held in Brazil or Venezuela, in the last week of February 2007. The proposed discussion points would be: 1) International Situation: Imperialism and War; 2)Venezuela and Bolivia; 3) National and International Regroupments.
6.
At the same time, and parallel to all this, the socialization of experiences and integration of the debates among the leaderships and bases of the organizations and collectives will be promoted. Simultaneously, contact will be made with other organizations from Latin America, Europe and other continents, through trips and other initiatives, beginning with all those that participated in previous events with the same objective. Given the open and developing character of this project of international regroupment, we welcome the approach of new sectors and their participation in impelling it.
7.
Corresponding to the development of these activities, to advance toward Common Declarations around the themes related to the initiatives, the international situation and the orientation of the regroupment.
The leaders of the UNT/C-CURA and members of the Venezuelan PRT participated on a personal basis and manifested their intentions of continuing as companions of this process, without assuming commitments in name of the organization, to whose members they will take this information and propose a democratic debate of the propoisals.
